Angela Harmet Dublin Greaves was born on January 10, 1942, in South Rivers, St. Vincent. Angela was the second child born to the late Coreena Nedd and Bananza Dublin. She was educated in the South Rivers Methodist School System. At the age of 18, she migrated to Trinidad and Tobago.
In 1960, she married the late Clyde Greaves. To their union, four beautiful children were born. She loved her children very much and would spend her last to make them happy. Her family was very important to her no matter the need. Helping her family in their time of need was just another one of her many qualities. She was also an entrepreneur, selling AVON, Tupperware, Princess House, and what her heart desired.
Mrs. Greaves moved to the United States in the early 1970's to make a better life for her and her children. She joined Calvary Pentecostal Church in Brooklyn, New York, where Jesus Christ was truly the center of her life. After arriving in the U.S., she gained employment with New York School System as a security guard. She also received her Certified Nursing Assistant certificate and worked at The Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation where she served until her health failed in 2001.
In 2007, she moved to Little Elm, Texas, to reside with her daughter, Claire Watts Cooper, who cared for her after her health declined. While she endured hardship as a good soldier, Mrs. Greaves continued to fight the good fight. Although not able to speak, her commitment, feisty attitude, and sweet spirit continued until her transition on Friday, October 4, 2019, at 9:04 am. She leaves a legacy of strength and undying faith, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mrs. Greaves was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Norma Nedd; and sons, Bunny and Allan Greaves. Those left to cherish precious memories include her children, Albert Greaves and Claire Watts Cooper (Wayne) - both of Little Elm, Texas; two grandsons, Jamel Watts (Lanira) of Aubrey, Texas, and Ryan Watts of Little Elm, Texas; two granddaughters, Shelley Greaves and Priscilla Bonn - both of Baltimore, Maryland; two great-granddaughters, Karmen Watts and Kassidy Watts - both of Aubrey, Texas; one great-grandson, Malakai Greaves of Baltimore, Maryland; one brother, Calbert Nedd of St. Vincent; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Although she will be missed, we praise God for her life and rejoice at her entrance in the King's gate.
