Annie Mae (Scott) Griffin

Annie Mae "MeMa" Griffin, age 78, was born on November 16, 1939, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to the late Madie Shaw and Sanford Scott. She passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018, in Mesquite, Texas.

Annie graduated from Solomon M. Coles High School in 1959. She was married to the late Malcolm E. Griffin. To their union, five children were born. She was employed by Corpus Christi Country Club. After serving there for several years, she was employed by Corpus Christi Independent School District and retired in 1993 after 24 years of service. 

Those left to cherish precious memories include her children: Gary Griffin of Houston, Texas, Gregory Griffin, Sr. and his wife, Elizabeth, of Seattle, Washington, Melody "Penny" Griffin of Dallas, Texas, Marlon Griffin and his wife, Karen, of San Antonio, Texas, and Philip Griffin and his wife, Michelle, of Arlington, Texas; special daughter, Faye Brown of Austin, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; life-long sister friends: Doris Polk, Phylis Ridgels, and Ida Murphy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
