Billie Ruth Hill was born on August 16, 1941, in Henderson, Texas. She transitioned on May 2, 2018, in Desoto, Texas, at age 76.
Billie graduated from Minden High School in Henderson, Texas. She then moved to Dallas where she resided for several years. Later, she relocated to Inglewood, California, where she met the love of her life, Dr. James Baylyff. She was an executive assistant for Dr. Kay Toma and retired after 28 years of service.
Among many hobbies, Billie delighted in travel, interior design, cooking, and gardening. She had a green thumb for growing tomatoes and grapefruit, and she enjoyed attending plays and musicals. Billie also worked as a cosmetologist at a funeral home. Notably, she owned and operated a boarding care home for the elderly for five years after her retirement.
Billie accepted Christ at an early age. She attended Abundant Life Christian Church in Los Angeles, California.

Billie was predeceased by her parents, Felix and Hester Robinson Hill. Those left to cherish precious memories include her loving soulmate, Dr. James Baylyff; daughter, Debra Murphy and her husband, Quinton; son, Jeffrey Baylyff; grandchildren: DeAna Decker and her husband, Ryan, and Justin Murphy; brother, Willie C. Hill and his wife, Carolyn; niece, Tonya Ellis; great-niece, Diazhane' Ellis; great-nephew, Devon Ellis; special cousins: Monica Carr, Joyce Crowley and her husband, Clinton, Peggy Porter and her husband, Melvin, Ricky Peterson and his wife, Keisha, Sudee Underdue, Jalen Peterson, Jaida Crowley, and Cynthia Carr; and a host of other relatives and friends.
