Billy Clyde Wilkinson was born on July 15, 1973, in Mesquite, Texas. Surrounded by his family and in his mother's loving arms, he passed away on April 20, 2018, in Garland, Texas, at age 44.
Billy graduated from Naaman Forest High School in 1995. He was a Special Olympics Gold medalist in swimming and loved living his life to the fullest, preferring to be outside, spending time with his dogs, cutting or tearing cardboard, crushing soda cans, and folding clothes. He was passionate about the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys, esp Jason Witten #82. His favorite time of year was Thanksgiving, followed by celebrating people's birthdays. He loved the song Silent Night and sang it proudly. Billy was a member of the Jonathan Project at Springcreek Church and loved his church and church family. His smile that won the hearts of all who knew him and met him will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish precious memories include his devoted mother, Cathy Wilkinson and her husband, Greg Tirmenstein; his brother, Bobby Wilkinson and his wife, Leia; nephews: John and Ben Wilkinson; nieces: Allison, Marissa, and Claire Wilkinson; Grandmother, Jo Ellan Hughes and her husband, Clive; Uncle Ray Dunn and his children, Michael Dunn and his wife, Ann, and their children: Lane, Monica and Aleisa, and Janet Moore and her husband, Chuck, and their children: Curtis and Laura; Aunt Becky and Uncle John Fanning and their son, Brian Fanning; Aunt Nancy and Uncle Marvin Nichols and their children: Matt, Megan and Melissa Nichols; Aunt Cindy Ewen and Uncle Curtis Wilkinson and their children: Christy, Kimberly and Tiffany; Aunt Laurie Tirmenstein and her children: Bree, Martin, and Carli; Uncle Chris Tirmenstein; and Uncle Les Tirmenstein; along with numerous other loved family members and friends.
