Cynthia Blyden was born on December 26, 1931, in St. John US Virgin Islands. She transitioned to eternity with her Lord on November 30, 2019, in Dallas, Texas.
Cynthia was a cook for the College of the Virgin Islands, now University of the Virgin Islands. In 1995, after many years of service, she retired and relocated to Texas to be with her children.
At a young age, Cynthia accepted Christ as her Lord. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in the Virgin Islands where she sang in the choir.
Affectionately regarded as "Muddy" by her family, Cynthia enjoyed gardening and learning natural health remedies. She most enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Peaceful, humorous, and kind, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Vincent Blyden; sister, Curlene Blyden; daughter, Bernice Martin; and son-in-law, Michael Gallman. Those left to cherish precious memories include her daughter, Sara George; son, Austin George (Vivian); daughter, Irene Hannah (Wilbert); son, Terrence Martin; daughter, Lola Gallman; daughter, Ruth Daniel; grandchildren: Cleone Brown, Brian Hunt, Aaron George, Adrian George, Andre George, Austin George, Jr., Earl Hodge, Cordell Wattley, Jermaine Hannah, Keno Bradshaw, Kenya Bradshaw, Chanel Martin, Cameron Gallman, and Galen Gallman; great grand child, Riabella Jones; and a host of other relatives and friends.
