Damen Lane Day was born on June 25, 2003, in Jacksonville, Texas. He transitioned to eternity on January 18, 2019, in Richardson, Texas, at age 15.
Among many hobbies, Damen delighted in the outdoors, drawing model airplanes, and fishing. A student in the Civil Air Patrol program, Damen aspired to become a United States Air Force pilot. He was passionate about his country and the US flag.
Damen will be fondly remembered for his love for God, animals, and people, especially his family. He never hesitated to bring home an injured bird or comfort a stray dog. He had an extraordinary disposition to connect. Damen had an epic presence and contagious smile which lightened the mood always. A compassionate, creative, upbeat, gregarious, thoughtful, respectful, and loving outdoorsman, Damen Lane Day will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish sweet memories include his parents, Ronald Lane Day and Kathy Crane; siblings: Ava, Alison, and Erin Day; maternal grandparents, Emery and Janet Crane; paternal grandparents, Janis Day and Ronald W. Day; maternal aunts and uncles: Dave and Diane Crane, Alan and JoEllen Crane, and Steve and Patricia Crane; paternal aunts and uncles: Shane Day, Shawn Day, Michelle Day, and Charlton and Dana Day; and a host of cousins and friends.
