Dorothy Fochi was born in Bellmore, New York, on May 1, 1936, to the parentage of William Connaughton and Violet Banks Connaughton. She transitioned on September 18, 2019, in Allen, Texas, at age 83.
Dorothy grew up in Bellmore and attend Bellmore public schools. After attending Metham High School, she went on to unite in holy matrimony with the love of her life, Charles Fochi. She enjoyed plenty of fun times, including several adventures with her loved ones.
Among many hobbies, Dorothy delighted in gardening, yard work, vacationing with her grandchildren, and cleaning. She was often found with a dust rag hanging out of her back pocket. A remarkable caregiver with a generous, kind, and selfless spirit and memorable sense of humor, she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Dorothy was predeceased by her parents; husband, Charles Fochi; and son-in-law, Daniel Honey. Those left to cherish precious memories and continue her legacy of kindness, generosity, selflessness, and honesty include her daughter, Linda Fochi-McMillan; son, Charles L. Fochi, Jr. and his wife Christina; daughter, Jackie Honey; grandchildren: Dawn Fochi, Danielle Honey, Shawn McMillan, Sydney Frese and her husband Chris, Julia Fochi, Daniel Honey, Jr., Charles Fochi III, Ryan McMillan, Joseph Fochi, Mary Fochi, and Catherine Fochi; great grandchildren: Everleigh Violet Frese and Anthony Fochi; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
