Eddie Ellis Thompson was born on August 26, 1940, in Salem, Missouri. He transitioned on April 30, 2018, in Richardson, Texas, at age 77.
A graduate of Westminster High School in Arvada, Colorado, Eddie went on to enjoy a lifelong career in auto body repair. He worked with various auto body companies throughout the years and retired in November 2016 from the Huffines Group after 26 years of service.
Among many hobbies, Eddie delighted in photography. He also enjoyed building and customizing cars. Eddie was an early member of the Dallas Area Street Rod Association and was proud to own a customized car he built himself.
Eddie was predeceased by his parents, Clarence Thompson and Beulah Southards Thompson, and all of his siblings: Lura McCoy, Merrill Thompson, and Sharon Tavera. Those left to cherish precious memories include his daughter, Angela Norman and her husband, Bob; son, Cameron Thompson and his wife, Darla; grandchildren: Jeff Smith, Daniel Thompson, and Christian Thompson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
