Jared was born on September 15, 1989, in Dallas, Texas. He transitioned to eternity on February 5, 2018, in Allen, Texas, at age 28.
Jared graduated from Sachse High School in 2008. On a football scholarship, he went on to attend Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. After two years, Jared transferred with a partial scholarship to Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. He enjoyed a career in Parks and Recreation. He worked for the City of Mesquite Parks and Recreation. At the time of his transition, he was employed with the City of Allen Parks and Recreation in Facilities as Assistant Manager.
Jared attended All-Nations Fellowship Church where he served under the leadership of Pastors Robert and Stephanie Canady since his teen years. Among many hobbies and interests, Jared loved the game of basketball. He also delighted in video games and fitness. He will be fondly remembered for his meek, quiet nature. Gentle giant. Smart. Responsible. Kind. Funny. Genuine. Jared will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jared was predeceased by his great-grandparents, Robert, Earline "Honey", and Grace; and grandfather, Archie. Those left to cherish sweet memories include his parents, James and Lisa; sister, Jamie; nephew, Myles; grandparents: Rudolph, Shirley, and Shirley Louise; aunts: Marilyn, Janice, Wanda, and Angela; uncles, Ronald (Amy) and Richard (Amanda); dear friend, Jonathan; mentor and friend, Coach Curtis; and a host of other relatives and friends.
