Lee Bellew Obituary

Lee Edward Bellew was born on December 9, 1941, in Texarakana, Arkansas. With his loving wife at his side, he transitioned to eternity on October 26, 2019, in Mesquite, Texas.

The older of two sons born to George Edward and Velma Clevenger Bellew, Lee graduated from Arkansas High School in Texarkana. He went on to enjoy a career in printing as a Steel Rule Die Maker. For many years, he worked at Pollock Paper Company where he began as a scrapper and eventually served his apprenticeship. He also enjoyed ownership of Bel-Tex Steel Rule Die for several years. Later, Lee enjoyed employment at Restland Funeral Home where he worked in the care center and occasionally worked services. He most enjoyed responding to families' needs immediately upon death. His personality was absolutely soothing for families during such a difficult time. After approximately 10 years of service, Lee retired.

Among many hobbies, he enjoyed traveling, motorcycles, camping, and boating. Lee was funny, clever, and loving, and he had a personality that captured all who crossed his path. He was the life of the party and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was predeceased by his parents; stepson, Kerry McDaniel; and step-grandson, Joseph McDaniel. Those left to cherish precious memories include his loving and devoted wife, Lynda; son, Keith Edward Bellew (Elizabeth "Liz"); daughter, Karen Michelle Ard (Joe); grandchildren: Courtney Denise Ard, Dylan Kyle Ard, Justin Edward Bellew, Kylie Annette Bellew, Braden Dean Bellew, and Madison Elizabeth Bellew; first wife and mother of his children, Wathena Bellew; mother-in-law, Nita Winters; stepsons, David McDaniel and Todd McDaniel; step-grandchildren: Coty Davis, Kaitlyn McDaniel, and Emily McDaniel; step-great-grandchildren, Josslyn Davis and Evalee Davis; brother, Cliff Bellew (Peggy); special cousin, Carol Henager; and a host of other cousins and dear friends.
