Meta was born on December 21, 1958, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She transitioned on February 5, 2019, in Desoto, Texas.
Meta graduated from Lousiana State University and went on to pursue a career in finance. She enjoyed employment with Fidelity Investments among several other companies. Meta was also proudly self-employed as the owner of Business Expressions.
Affectionately regarded as "2 Soft", Meta enjoyed eating, playing Candy Crush, and sewing. She most enjoyed riding her motorcycle. She was president of "Queenz of the South", a motorcycle club for women. She was also a member of Zeta Phi Beta. Meta professed a belief in Christ and attended Wynnwood Fellowship.
Silly, funny, smart, organized, and courageous, Meta will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Johnson and Abigail Jones. Those left to cherish precious memories include her daughter, Mia Jones; son, Jared Payne; brother, Khanrod Johnson; sister, Virgil Benjamin; and a host of other relatives and friends.
