Born on October 15, 1933, in Gadsden, Alabama, Moses Johnson, Jr. transitioned to eternity with his Lord on January 7, 2019, at age 85.
Moses graduated from Carver High School Gadsden, Alabama. He went on to enjoy a career with Republic Steel and retired after 30 years of service.
Affectionately regarded as "Sonny", Moses loved plain M&Ms and cheese. He also enjoyed watching baseball. Moses' favorite saying was "Hey Now!"; he was a people person who never met a stranger and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Moses was predeceased by his parents, Moses Johnson, Jr. and Cora Howard. Those left to cherish precious memories include his daughter, Linda Faye Cowser; daughter, Cora Diane Johnson; son, Michael Johnson and his wife, Diane "Teen" Johnson; grandchildren: Sonya Branch, Tony Cowser, Korissa La-Shanna Guyton, Angela M Johnson, and Daniel L. Johnson; sister, Alma Belyeu; brother, James Edward Johnson; and a host of cousins and friends.
