Pastor Earnest Chevalier Turner, Jr.

December 8, 1958 ~ February 12, 2018 (age 59)

Earnest Chevalier Turner, Jr. was born on December 8, 1958, in New Orleans, Louisiana. At age 59, he transitioned to eternity with his Lord on February 12, 2018, while visiting his beloved family in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Earnest went into carpentry at a young age. Over the years, he became a master carpenter. He was known for his high quality of work, as he took great pride in his work.

Earnest married Debra Johnson, the love of his life, on February 26, 2000. Together, the two had eight beautiful children and many grandchildren. Affectionately regarded as "Grandpa" to his grandchildren, Earnest enjoyed many hobbies, including video games. He was gifted in music and rightly dividing the Word of God. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Garland, Texas, under the leadership of Pastor B.J. Myles. There he served as a minister and taught Bible study. Prior to his membership at Macedonia, he was a part of the David Terrell Ministry, a tent ministry in which he and his mother participated. At the time of his transition, Earnest was pursuing the establishment of Gospel of Jesus Christ Ministries with his wife.

Humble. Energetic. Family-oriented. Hard worker. Spiritual. A man after God's heart, Earnest will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

The only child born to Earnest Chevalier Turner, Sr. and Thelma Lee Collins, Earnest was predeceased by his parents. Those left to cherish precious memories include his wife, Debra; children: Crystal Turner, Jason Turner, Judea Turner, Yvonne Turner, Rodney Harris, Michelle Williams, Laticia Butler, and Eddie Harris; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
