Andrew Simpson Obituary

Andrew Edward Simpson was born on August 16, 1995, in Greenville, Texas. He ascended on March 24, 2020, in Dallas, Texas. 

Andrew graduated from Sachse High School and went on to attend Richland College where his focus was Culinary Arts. Pursuing his love of food preparation, Andrew enjoyed employment at Waffle House and Flower Child Restaurant in Dallas. 

From a young age, Andrew was musically inclined. He learned various instruments, including the guitar, bass, and drums. His delight in music continued, as he became a member of Poliiitic and later Neptune City, two bands of local, young, and gifted musicians.

Affectionately regarded as "Drew" by friends and "Nutta Butta" by family, Andrew enjoyed many hobbies, including anime and playing video games. He most enjoyed spending time with family and friends. One who never met a stranger, Andrew was a happy, loving, caring, free-spirited, selfless and optimistic spirit who saw the best in everyone. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Simpson; grandparents, Andy and Edna Simpson; uncle, Frederick Simpson; and brother, Nick Lacy. Those left to cherish sweet memories include his mother, Stella Anderson; son, Malaki Simpson; siblings: Dana Lacy (Mentrail Mapps), LaShonda Anderson (Damien), Anthony Deleon (Somalia Timmons), Tamiya Deleon, Alexus Johnson, Keiundira Deleon, and Travon Bailey; special cousins, Matthew Simpson (Dominique) and Michael Simpson (Ashley); special nieces and nephews: Morgan Lacy, Zuri Shephard, Jayden Lewis, Isaiah Lacy, Byron Anderson, and Brandon Anderson, Desmond Johnson, Destini Johnson, Daryn Johnson; aunt, Teresa Simpson; uncle, Andy Simpson; special friend and mother of his son, Essence Provost; biological mother, Erica Deleon; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
