Anthony Jeremiah Thompson was born on May 5, 1997, in Garland, Texas, to Ivan Harold Thompson II and Neketa Harris. He was the oldest of three sons born to this union.
Anthony attended elementary and middle school and graduated from North Garland High School. From an early age, he displayed a remarkable blend of determination and creativity. He loved playing peewee football and continued through middle school. His true passion was music; he was a gifted musician and could play multiple instruments, including the alto and baritone saxophones and tuba. He taught himself to play the guitar. Anthony proudly played in the North Garland High School band, where his talent, dedication, and spirit shined through every performance.
After high school graduation, Anthony continued his education at Texas A&M University-Commerce, pursuing his studies while keeping his love for music close to his heart and graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology.
Anthony’s vibrant personality and playful spirit touched everyone who knew him. He especially loved spending time with his younger twin brothers, Tre and Evan, and his cousins – Weldon, Micah, Courtlyn, Chael, Jackson, Collen, Kylie, Caleb, MJ, and Deuce. Always the jokester, he delighted in teasing them with affection, filling family gatherings and everyday moments with laughter and joy.
Anthony was preceded in death by his grandmother, Paulette Marie Thompson, and great-grandmothers, Bennie Pearl Sample and Lola Faye Galbreath.
Those left to cherish sweet and lasting memories include his parents, Ivan Thompson II and Neketa Harris; his beloved twin brothers, Ivan “Tre” Thompson III and Evan Thompson; his grandmother, Renee Galbreath-Johnson (Edward); his grandfather, Ivan Thompson, Sr.; a host of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his family-by-heart—Mike, Susie, Nick, and Nikita Langlois—who held a special place in his heart.
Anthony will be remembered for his kind heart, his musical gift, and the way he could make anyone smile. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and all who loved him.
