Ayawna Monee' Gunnells-Howard

Ayawna Moneé Gunnells-Howard was born on August 30, 1981, to Darlene Gunnells and Delria Howard in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was the eldest of five children loved and nurtured in this union.

Ayawna graduated from Rowlett High School in 1999 and attended Stephen F. Austin University and Richland Community College. She enjoyed a career in insurance claims. 

Ayawna departed this life too soon on April 30, 2024, in Garland, Texas. Her legacy will continue through her two children, Le'Trevian Johnson and Le'Kaiyah Rodgers, and all who were blessed to know and love her.

Ayawna was preceded in death by her grandparents - James and Jewerlean Gunnells and Robert and Tommie Harris; and her cousin, Jasmine Gunnells.

Those left to cherish lasting memories include her children, Le'Trevian Johnson and Le'Kaiyah Rodgers; her parents, Darlene and Delria Howard; her sisters - Antoya Howard, Amaya Howard, and Adelya Howard; her brother, Del Howard; and a host of other family members and friends.
