Aye Myint was born on January 1, 1940, in the village of Per Noi Poe Klo, located in the Dawei Region of Myanmar (Burma). He was the third of six siblings. Aye Myint completed his education up to the fourth grade of secondary school before beginning work to support his family.
In 1960, he married Per Ler, and together they had eight children three sons and five daughters. Tragically, their eldest daughter passed away in 1997 due to health complications while living in a refugee camp in Thailand.
Aye Myint lived in his birthplace, Per Noi Poe Klo, for 42 years before relocating to the village of Praw Wah in 1982. He is survived by 37 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In 1997, the Burmese Army forced him and his family to flee their home, and they became refugees. From 1997 to 2009, they resided at the Tham Hin Refugee Camp in Ratchaburi Province, Thailand.
From 1990 to 2015, during his time in the refugee camp and beyond, Aye Myint was actively involved in gospel work, dedicating much of his life to his faith and community.
In 2009, he immigrated to the United States, settling in Rockford, Illinois. He lived there until 2016, when he moved to Dallas, Texas. Sadly, in 2015, he suffered a stroke that caused paralysis on one side, a condition he battled until his passing.
