Ayinde Oya Tyehimba was an exceptional man, committed husband, loving father, and cherished friend who brought joy and laughter to everyone he met. Ayinde transitioned into eternity on November 24, 2024, and was welcomed with open arms by his mother, Linda Collins, and his grandmother, Ollie Collins.
Ty, as he was affectionately regarded, spent his childhood in Shreveport, Louisiana, and Gainesville, Florida, before moving to Texas where he met his beloved wife, Komosha, in 2008. They shared 16 years of marriage raising their beautiful children - Noah, Luke, Kalani, and Jeremiah, and their fur baby, Marley.
Among many hobbies, Ty enjoyed refereeing football and basketball, spending time with his family and friends, and vibing to old-school Hip-Hop music. He was a man of great faith and strength. Ayinde will always be remembered for his infectious smile, larger-than-life personality, and love for his family and friends. He had a giving heart to all who were a part of his life.
In lieu of flowers, to support his children, please consider a donation to The Tyehimba Family Fund by clicking the link below:
In honor of Ayinde’s love for sneakers, all are encouraged to accent their Sunday best attire with their freshest pair of kicks (tennis shoes) to celebrate his life in true Ayinde style.
