Azucena Del Carmen Nieves

Con profundo dolor, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Azucena Del Carmen Gómez Nieves, quien partió de este mundo el 2 de septiembre de 2025 a la edad de 62 años.

Azucena nació el 15 de julio de 1963 en Barrio San Juan, Uluazapa, San Miguel, El Salvador C.A.. Fue una mujer llena de amor y dedicación por su familia y amigos. A lo largo de su vida, Azucena destacó por su nobleza, generosidad y su carácter carismático. Su bondad y desinterés por los demás la convirtieron en un ser especial para todos los que la conocieron.

El 15 de enero de 1984, Azucena unió su vida en matrimonio con Mauricio Nieves, con quien compartió un amor incondicional y muchas bendiciones. Juntos, tuvieron a su hija Stephanie Angie Nieves, nacida el 22 de junio de 1990, a quien amó profundamente. Su mayor alegría y orgullo fue, sin duda, su nieta Bella Azucena Nieves, cuyo amor la llenó de felicidad y esperanza en sus últimos años.

Se graduó del Instituto Nacional Isidro Menéndez en 1983, donde optó por la carrera de Contaduría. Aunque no continuó sus estudios universitarios, encontró su verdadera vocación como niñera, dedicándose al cuidado y bienestar de los niños. A lo largo de su vida, demostró ser una mujer decidida, que luchó con esfuerzo para alcanzar sus metas. Fue una persona activa, destacando en su juventud por su campeonato en Softball durante la escuela secundaria. También amaba nadar, cocinar, escuchar música católica y pasar tiempo con su familia, disfrutando especialmente de ver los partidos de fútbol, los Cowboys y su programa favorito, "The Price is Right". Además, le encantaban los crucigramas.

Azucena también logró el sueño de obtener su ciudadanía estadounidense en 1999 y, con mucho esfuerzo, pudo adquirir su propia casa en Garland, Texas, un logro que refleja su arduo trabajo y dedicación.

Si bien era devota a su fe católica, no estaba vinculada a ninguna iglesia en particular, pero siempre vivió su espiritualidad de manera sincera y profunda.

Azucena Nieves ahora descansa en paz y se reencuentra con sus seres queridos que partieron antes que ella: Hermina Díaz (Mamina) (Abuela), Manuel de Jesús Gómez (Padre), Ana Victoria Guzmán (Madre), Erick Giovanni Gómez (Sobrino), Beatriz Díaz (Tía Ticha), y Eliza Díaz (Tía Lisa).

Le sobreviven su esposo, Mauricio Nieves, su hija Stephanie Angie Nieves, su nieta Bella Azucena Nieves y  aunque no lleva su sangre demostro que la sangre no te hace familia Salvador Loera su yerno quien al igual que su familia atesora por siempre los bellos recuerdos de Azucena. Además, sus amigos y seres queridos seguirán celebrando su vida y el amor incondicional que dio a todos.

Que el recuerdo de Azucena Del Carmen Gómez Nieves perdure en los corazones de aquellos que la amaron, y su legado de amor, generosidad y fe sea una inspiración para todos.

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Azucena Del Carmen Gómez Nieves, who left this world on September 2, 2025, at the age of 62.

Azucena was born on July 15, 1963, in Barrio San Juan, Uluazapa, San Miguel, El Salvador C.A.. She was a woman full of love and dedication to her family and friends. Throughout her life, Azucena stood out for her nobility, generosity, and charismatic character. Her kindness and selflessness made her a special person to all who knew her.

On January 15, 1984, Azucena joined her life in marriage to Mauricio Nieves, with whom she shared unconditional love and many blessings. Together, they had their daughter Stephanie Angie Nieves, born on June 22, 1990, whom she loved deeply. Without a doubt, her greatest joy and pride was her granddaughter Bella Azucena Nieves, whose love filled her with happiness and hope in her later years.

She graduated from the Instituto Nacional Isidro Menéndez in 1983, where she chose the career of Accounting. Although she did not continue her university studies, she found her true calling as a nanny, dedicating herself to the care and well-being of children. Throughout her life, she demonstrated a determined spirit, working hard to reach her goals. She was an active person, excelling in her youth by winning a Softball Championship during middle school. She also loved swimming, cooking, listening to Catholic music, and spending time with her family, especially enjoying watching soccer games, the Cowboys, and her favorite show, "The Price is Right". Additionally, she loved doing crossword puzzles.

Azucena also achieved her dream of obtaining U.S. citizenship in 1999, and through hard work, was able to purchase her own home in Garland, Texas, a testament to her dedication and perseverance.

Although she was devoted to her Catholic faith, she was not affiliated with any particular church but always lived her spirituality sincerely and deeply.

Azucena Nieves now rests in peace and is reunited with her loved ones who passed before her: Hermina Díaz (Mamina) (Grandmother), Manuel de Jesús Gómez (Father), Ana Victoria Guzmán (Mother), Erick Giovanni Gómez (Nephew), Beatriz Díaz (Aunt Ticha), and Eliza Díaz (Aunt Lisa).

She is survived by her husband, Mauricio Nieves, her daughter Stephanie Angie Nieves, her granddaughter Bella Azucena Nieves, and although not by blood, Salvador Loera, her son-in-law, who like her family, will always cherish the beautiful memories of Azucena. In addition, her friends and loved ones will continue to celebrate her life and the unconditional love she gave to everyone.

May the memory of Azucena Del Carmen Gómez Nieves endure in the hearts of all who loved her, and may her legacy of love, generosity, and faith inspire all.
