Beulah Mae Pumphrey was born on May 10, 1925, in Carbondale, Texas. Surrounded by her loving family, she transitioned to eternity on January 22, 2021, in Garland, Texas.
Affectionately regarded as "BJ" and "Mama B", Beulah attended school in Carbondale. She went on to work in the electronics industry for many years until she retired.
Among many hobbies, Beulah enjoyed fishing, singing, and watching soap operas and wrestling. Law and Order (SVU) and The Golden Girls were her favorites.
Beulah accepted Christ and was faithful in her church memberships at El Bethel in Rowlett, Texas, and Christ Unveiled in Garland, Texas.
Beulah will fondly remembered for her sassy, outspoken, tenacious, and loving nature. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her 11 siblings; her husband, Willie B. Pumphrey; her son, Wilmer Willis; and four grandchildren: Marvin D. Willis, Enda Faye Willis, Stanford Willis, and Anthony Willis, Sr.
Those left to cherish precious memories include her son, Bobby E. Willis (Carolyn); six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; her beloved niece, Bertha Johnson and her granddaughter, Angela; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
