Brandon Jontay Ellerbee, Sr.

Brandon Jontay Ellerbee, Sr. was born on September 29, 1983, in Bennettsville, South Carolina. He was the son of James "Mike" and Karen Ellerbee. The late John Harmon "June Bug" Little, Jr. and Nicole Campbell-Little also played a significant part in Brandon’s life.  

Brandon was a high school basketball star and a McDonald’s All-America nominee. He graduated from Plano East High School (Plano, Texas) in 2001. He attended Marist College (Poughkeepsie, New York) on a full basketball scholarship and graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in Business and Human Resources. 

Brandon married Randi Ellerbee in 2015. To their union, two sons were loved and nurtured - Brandon Jontay Ellerbee, Jr. and Zachariah Aziz Kane. Blessed with a large and loving family as well as friends that were like family, he was a devoted father, son, and friend to many. 

Brandon was preceded in death by his grandparents - George and Mary "Grandma Buddy" Coit, John Harmon Little, Sr. and Bertha Mae James Little, Virginia "Grandma Ring" Coit, Julie Mae "Grandma Chuckie" Little, and Carrie Redfearn.

Those left to cherish precious memories include his wife, Randi Ellerbee; two sons, Brandon Jontay Ellerbee, Jr. and Zachariah Aziz Kane; loving parents, James (Mike) and Karen Ellerbee; grandmother, Margaret Ellerbee; parents-in-love, Stephen and Tammy Volner; siblings - Courtney Sellers, NaKeemah Little, JaKeemah Little, Tamia Little, and John Little III; sisters-in-law, Andrea Forster (Kyle) and Danielle Cunningham (Maxie Brooks); brother-in-law, Noah Volner; aunts - Jeanette Short, Edna Bloomfield (Thomas), Gloria Jean Coit, Kathy Ratliff, Kitty Leak (Joe), Lisa Harrington (Bernard), Sandra Watson (Robin), Margaret "Cathy" Brigman (Anthony), and Cynthia Johnson (Jerry); very special uncle, Arthur "Scooby" Little; uncle, Willie Ratliff; great uncles and aunts - Arthur Harrington (Ruth), Elbert Little (Earline), Barbara Jean Little, Evon Little, Patricia Little, and Elise "Mae" Ellerbee; big sisters, Jamese "Big Kuntry" Coit and Paula Belyeu; special “Brothers for Life” - Joshua Dodson, Daniel Majors, Carl Hood, Orrin Fullerton, Dennis Young, Jimmy Sutton, and Pierre Monagan; godbrother, Josiah Belyeu; goddaughter, Julianna Dodson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
