Carl Dewayne Williams was born on September 22, 1963, to Worthy Sr. and Bobbie Jean Williams in Texarkana, Texas.
He graduated from Liberty-Eylau High school in Texarkana, Texas, in 1982. He went on to attend Texarkana College where he graduated in 1985 with a degree in Electronic Instrumentation Technology. In February 2017, he began employment at Sanmina Corporation in Carrollton, Texas as Lead/Senior (RF) Radio Frequency Microwave Test Technician. He remained a devoted employee until his transition.
Carl was known by everyone as “ the smart one in the family”. He loved both outer space and technology. One of his favorite channels was the NASA Channel. When asked if he would consider traveling to Mars, his reply was “Why not!” He was also one of the organizers of the yearly ArkLaTexs Comic-Con that was held in Texarkana.
He will be fondly remembered for his analytical, quiet, and intelligent nature. His kindness and loving spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Carl was preceded in death by his sister, Donna K. Williams; brother, Keith Allen Williams; paternal grandparents, Monroe and Lola Williams; and maternal grandparents, Alice Taylor Mitchell and William Costello Cox. Those left to cherish his memories include his mother, Bobbie Jean Williams of Texarkana, Texas; father, Worthy Williams, Sr. of Texarkana, Arkansas; brothers - Roger Williams of St. Louis, Missouri, Donald Ray Williams of Texarkana, Texas, and Worthy Williams, Jr. of Texarkana, Arkansas; sister, Sondra Williams-Boahen (Eric) of Wylie, Texas; uncle, Billy Joe Mitchell (Betty) of Texarkana, Texas; and a host of other relatives, colleagues, and friends.
