Carolyn Williams McCloud was born on June 24, 1947, in Tallahassee, Florida. Surrounded by her loving family, she transitioned to eternity with her Lord and Savior on December 12, 2019, in Murphy, Texas.
Carolyn attended Florida A&M University where she earned her undergraduate degree. She went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin with a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. Carolyn enjoyed over 40 years of employment with Dallas Independent School District as a Speech Pathologist.
On August 24, 1968, Carolyn married the love of her life, Samuel Exley McCloud. In 1975, Sam and Carolyn relocated to Dallas, Texas. In 1976, their union was blessed with one son, Nolan Vincent.
Among many hobbies, she enjoyed shopping and exploring various cuisines. A member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., she loved being of service to all mankind. She was also a member of The Drifters, Inc. For more than 30 years, she was a member of North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship where she served under the leadership of Dr. Leslie Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Williams and Francis Landers Williams; brother, Roscoe Wilson; and husband, Samuel McCloud. Those left to cherish precious memories include her son, Nolan; sister, Patricia Proctor; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
