Catherine Nelson

Catherine Nelson, lovingly known as "Cat" or "Mickey," was born in Jerome, Arkansas, on May 13, 1942, and passed away on August 14, 2025.

Catherine graduated high school in 1960 and went on to work in healthcare as a nurse’s assistant. After many years of dedication, she retired from Baptist Health in 2001. She was also a longtime and faithful member of Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church.

In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with friends, shopping, and going to the casino.

Catherine will be fondly remembered for being sweet, friendly, kind-hearted, and humorous. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lula Mae Coakeley; her father, Floyd Nelson; and her sister, Ruthie Johnson.

Those left to cherish memories include her daughter, Constance Williams; her son-in-law, Steven Williams; along with many cousins and friends who will cherish her memory.
