Cedric Eugene Dunn, Sr.

Cedric Eugene Dunn was born on March 12, 1965, to R.T. and Viola Dunn in Dallas, Texas. He transitioned on June 13, 2022, in Garland, Texas. 

Cedric graduated from Lincoln High School in 1985. Following graduation, utilizing skills inherited from his father, Cedric entered into the workfield as an employee for the City of Plano - Street Department where he maintained a successful career for 40 years, serving as Street Department Supervisor. He was so proud to have been awarded Supervisor of the Year in 2011. 

Cedric fathered Steven Dunn, Cedric Dunn, Jr., and Meya McVea. He later married the love of his life, Julia Dunn, on October 14, 2006, and they shared two children, Austin Dunn and Daniel Dunn.

Among many hobbies, Cedric loved to spend his time fishing, boating, entertaining, playing Dominoes, and calling the shots at the race track. He was definitely the life of the party. His youthful, entertaining, out-going, and prosperous nature will be fondly remembered, and his vibrant spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Cedric was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Kirk; mother, Viola Dunn; father, R.T. Dunn; and sister, Paulette Kirk. Those left to cherish precious memories include his wife, Julia Dunn; children - Steven Dunn, Cedric Dunn, Jr., Meya Dunn McVea, Austin Dunn, and Daniel Dunn; sisters, Earnestine Kirk and Melody Kirk; and a host family and friends.
