Cedric Keith Singleterry was born on July 28, 1958, to Lovell Singleterry, Sr., and Jacqueline (McCray) Singleterry in Jacksonville, Florida. Surrounded by his loving family, he transitioned to eternity with his Lord on June 11, 2023, in Dallas, Texas.
Cedric graduated from William M. Raines High School in 1976. He went on to attend Texas Southern University and graduated from Amberton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management. With his driven nature, he went on to excel in entrepreneurship as the owner of Wings of Glory Restaurants from 1995 to 2005. He was also an engineer for Nortel, NOC Manager II Level Support for MCI, and a Certified Scrum Master and Cloud SME Engineer for the IRS.
Cedric married his college sweetheart, Patricia Cooper, on June 10, 1978. He said that he was going to marry Patricia as he saw her walking across campus. The two were blessed to love and nurture two beautiful daughters, Adriann and Sydney. whom he loved and adored dearly.
A man of faith and devotion, Cedric accepted Christ and remained steadfast in his faith. He united with New Life Community Church in Little Elm, Texas, where he was ordained as a deacon. He also united with North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship in Richardson, Texas, where he was Steven Ministry certified. At the time of his passing, he was a devoted member of One Community Church in Plano, Texas, where he was a member of the prayer and drama team, choir, and 180 Ministry. He was also a life group leader for six years.
Among many hobbies, in his spare time, Cedric enjoyed the art of music and painting, golf, working out, and the creative world of fantasy football. He also delighted in traveling and home projects. Cedric's most significant achievements included being one of the founders of the soon-to-be-released television show "The Unks", being the founder of Ambassadors of Youth, raising his daughters to be successful, and being the most amazing grandfather to his grandson, Mikey, who adored him.
Cedric's intelligent, driven, creative, and devoted nature will be fondly remembered. His loving spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lovell Singleterry, Sr. and Jacqueline (McCray) Singleterry, and parents-in-love, John and Lucille Cooper.
Those left to cherish precious memories include his wife of 45 years, Patricia Singleterry; daughters, Adriann Griffin (Michael) and Dr. Sydney Singleterry; grandson, Mikey Griffin; siblings, Lovell Singleterry, Jr. (Mary) and Sharon Holt; nephew, Hayward Holt; nieces, Courtney Singleterry and Katura Holt; and a host of other family, friends, and colleagues.
