Charles Etta Bryant

Charles Etta Bryant was born on February 14, 1936, to the parentage of the late Charles Bryant and Katherine (Phillips) Bryant. On August 19, 2026, she transitioned to eternity with her Lord.

Affectionately regarded as "CharlesEtta", she received her formal education in the Dallas Independent School District and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Bishop College in 1960. CharlesEtta taught school in DISD for numerous years: James Madison and Woodrow Wilson High Schools and Boude Story Middle School.

CharlesEtta confessed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and remained steadfast in her faith. She was a faithful member of Christian Chapel Temple of Faith.

Those left to cherish precious memories include her son, Shoan Williams; her daughter-in-law, Connie Waters-Williams; her grandchildren, Deonté Williams and Amrias Williams; her sister, Lena Jackson; her aunt, Ververly Phillips; her uncle, Louie Phillips; and a host of  nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. 

Special acknowledgment is given to her caregivers, Joyce Battle and Skankia McFarlin. The family also extends special thanks to Cherilyn and Kathy for their care and support.
