Charles Edward Jackson was born on April 23, 1952, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Charles Edward Jones and Helen Jackson. He was the eldest brother of Joe Williams and Roscoe Allen. Surrounded by his loving family, he transitioned to eternity on March 17, 2023, in Garland, Texas, after a brief battle with cancer.
Charles moved to Texas with his mother and attended Madison High School in Dallas. Charles was best known for his delicious cooking and his savvy style of art and interior decorating. He loved making gardens beautiful and loved Spring so he could plant. That was his favorite time of year, and he never missed a chance to plant his flowers.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Joe Williams. Those left to cherish precious memories include his wife of 22 years, LaSona Jackson; daughters: Virginia Meador, Jada Jackson Carter (Justin), Charla Jackson, KaDeja Johnson, and Candice Jackson; sons: Tyrone Johnson, Tarik Johnson, and Chris Traylor; brother: Rosco Allen (Faye) of Dallas, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
