Charlie Lee Young, Sr.

Charlie Lee Young, Sr. was born on December 14, 1928, to the late Jim and Verdie Young in Foreman, Arkansas. He passed away on December 5, 2021, at the age of 92, in Garland, Texas.

At an early age, his family relocated to New Boston, Texas. In 1955, Charlie moved to Los Angeles, California, where he later began working for the Los Angeles County Sanitation District until his retirement. Charlie will be forever remembered by his family for his love of playing dominos and watching baseball.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Verdie Young, and his brother, Robert L. Young. Those left to cherish everlasting memories include his two sons, Terry "T.J." and wife, Mary, of Rowlett, Texas, and Charlie Jr. and wife, Cathy, of Las Vegas, Nevada; two daughters, Denise Young of Dallas, Texas, and Vida and husband, Adrian McInnis, of Seagoville, Texas; "special friend", Anita Gray, of Garland, Texas; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
