Clarence Lloyd III Obituary

Clarence Lloyd, affectionately known as "C", "Clarence Jr.", "June", "Pops", and "Mr. C", was born on September 29, 1964, in Natchez, Mississippi, to the late Clarence Lloyd, Sr., and Carleen Harris. He was the eldest of four children and shared a close bond with his siblings, Vanessa, Theodrick, and Kimberley.

Clarence grew up in Natchez with his family before moving to Texas, where his life’s greatest blessings unfolded. On November 24, 1984, he married the love of his life, Pamela Davis, beginning a beautiful journey together. Their union was blessed with two children: Marcus and Emily Lloyd, who were his pride and joy.

Clarence attended Alcorn State University, where he showcased his athletic talent playing baseball as a shortstop. A passionate sports enthusiast, Clarence loved every game and could analyze any sport with precision. He was his own commentator, offering play-by-play breakdowns and season predictions that amazed family and friends.

Beyond sports, Clarence had a deep love for music. His home was often filled with smooth jazz melodies and R&B classics, and he could often be found singing, dancing, and spreading joy around the house. He was also a master behind the grill, famous for his delicious smoked wings that became a family favorite. He was a true dog lover, and you could often spot him cruising around town with his beloved fur baby, Bailey, by his side.

Clarence lived a life of service and excellence. He dedicated years of hard work to his profession while remaining an active figure in his community as a Sunday School Superintendent, a committed HOA member, and a devoted youth sports coach, especially for the teams his son Marcus played on.

Faith was central to Clarence’s life. He led his household with a God-first mindset and inspired those around him to do the same. Words that best describe Clarence include God-fearing, motivator, wise, comedian, passionate, protector, and provider.

Above all, Clarence was an outgoing, disciplined, and hilariously witty family man. He gave his all to ensure the best life for his loved ones. He protected, provided, cared, and loved deeply.

Clarence’s legacy lives on through his devoted wife of 40 years, Pamela Lloyd; his children, Marcus Lloyd (R’el) and Emily Fort (Dexter); his siblings, Vanessa McIntosh, Theo Lloyd, and Kimberley Lloyd; and countless relatives, friends, and community members whose lives he touched with his warmth, humor, and wisdom.

If you’re looking for the true definition of a father, a husband, a friend, you should look no further than Clarence Lloyd. He will forever be remembered as “The Best Husband & Father in the World.”

“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
