Clinton Worthy, Jr., a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on August 23, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. He was born in Ellaville, Georgia, to the late Clinton Worthy, Sr. and Susie Worthy.
After growing up in Philadelphia, Clinton attended Franklin High School. With honor, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. and served his country during the Korean War. Clinton was honorably discharged in 1953.
In 1956, Clinton married the love of his life, Ruby L. Lawrence. They shared an incredible 70 years of marriage, building a life centered around their beloved son, Leonard. Clinton was known for his love of a good time, his infectious laugh, and his passion for baseball and football. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family.
Clinton was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton Worthy, Sr. and Susie Worthy; his brother, Robert Worthy; and his two sisters, Arie and Georgia.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter and will be deeply missed by his wife, Ruby Worthy; his son, Leonard Worthy (Jean); his grandsons, Keary (Attia), Corey (Cindy), and Cody (Monica); his great-grandchildren, Kayla, Corey Jr., Cody Jr., Keari, Ariel, and Jai; and a host of other relatives and friends.
