Darlene Anderson Obituary

Darlene Anderson was born on August 4, 1938, in West Middlesex, Pennsylvania. She passed on November 12, 2021, in Garland, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Dane Pearson, Anne Elizabeth (Uiselt) Pearson, her sister Deanna (Pearson) Rodgers, and infant granddaughter, Bethany Anne McCall.

She is survived by her husband, David Arthur Anderson. Her sister Delma Murray, her brother, Derek Pearson (Sarah). Children: Dana McCall (Steve), David Anderson Jr (Laurie), Darin Anderson, Dale Anderson (Adina), and “Adopted” Daughter Jeanetta Cavanaugh (Bill).

Grandchildren: Andrew Mulbrook (Kristina,) Ashley Valerio (Joseph), and Chad McCall. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces, other family members, and friends that she held very dear.

Darlene was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on June 8, 1951, growing up in a family-focused on whole-souled service to Jehovah God. This influenced her decisions in life.

She married the love of her life, David Anderson, on June 30, 1956. In 1968, they wrote the branch of Jehovah's Witnesses for direction, to move where members were needed in the global preaching work. They moved with their four small children to Ardmore Pa. to assist in that area. They inculcated a whole-souled love for Jehovah in their children as they moved along in life.

In Ardmore, their house was known as “Little Bethel.” There was an open-door policy and it was always a beehive of activity. Bethelites, pioneers, traveling brothers, young and old, were always welcome. The laughter of the friends was music to her heart!

Darlene had the reputation of being generous. She found ways to fill the needs of family, fellow servants, and people they were teaching the Bible.

Darlene and Dave always wanted a large family but stopped at four children because they “couldn't afford to feed any more boys”. They looked forward to having more children in the paradise to come.

She also loved to travel. She enjoyed Ireland so much that she wanted to move there. She desired to travel in the new world, enjoying pink roses everywhere she goes.

She had the Pioneer spirit. She served in the Regular Pioneer ministry for over 15 years in Ardmore, Drexel Hill, and the Lansdowne congregations. She always encouraged young people to love Jehovah and faithfully serve him throughout their lives. She was always focused on helping people through her ministry. She enjoyed teaching people about God's purpose for the earth. She was thrilled to see many dedicate themselves to Jehovah.

After retirement in 2002, she and her husband moved to Hendersonville, North Carolina. In March of 2017, they moved to Texas with their daughter Dana and her husband Steve. They are associated now with the Lavon Congregation that has been a great aid and comfort to all the family.

Darlene looked forward to the resurrection on a paradise earth. There we will be reunited with her and other family and friends, enjoying real life, the perfect life. The life our heavenly Father Jehovah wants us to have.
