Delonne Marie "Maria" (Hanson) Johnson

Delonne Marie "Maria" (Hanson) Johnson, transitioned to Heaven on Friday, December 13, 2024, at the age of 54. Delonne was born on September 11, 1970, in Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada, and grew up with a deep faith in God and a heart full of love for others.

Delonne was a dedicated servant of the Lord, accepting Him at an early age. She grew up attending the The New Rock Church in Lawton, Oklahoma, where her parents pastored, and later took on the role of a youth leader at The New Rock Church. As a mentor, Delonne guided and supported many young individuals, helping them grow in their faith and sense of belonging. Her devotion to the church and its mission was evident in everything she did. Delonne’s vibrant spirit was reflected in her love for acting, modeling, and all things beauty. She pursued modeling at Barbizon and cultivated her talent for cosmetology, mastering the art of hairstyling and nails. Her creativity and passion brought joy and inspiration to those around her.

Delonne pursued her passion for nurturing and educating young minds by earning her degree in Early Childhood Development. Her career in childcare was a testament to her unwavering dedication, warmth, and patience. She touched on the lives of countless children and families, creating an environment where each child felt valued, loved, and empowered to thrive.

On April 18, 2004, in Wylie, Texas, Delonne married the love of her life, Robert (Tyrone). Together, they raised six wonderful children: Shawde, Stephen, Sherrie, Tyrone (Shon), Tiffani, and Tiana. Delonne was also a proud grandmother to 10 amazing grandchildren, and her love for her family was the foundation of everything she did.

Outside of her work and family life, Delonne was an avid fitness enthusiast and a certified physical trainer. She shared her passion for health and wellness with others, inspiring those around her to lead active, healthy lifestyles. Her dedication to fitness was infectious, and she made a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Delonne’s vibrant energy, commitment to others, and love for her family and friends will never be forgotten. She was known as a neighborhood mom, always welcoming the children of her community with open arms. Her sense of humor and kindness brightened the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.

Delonne was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harold Hanson and Marie Boyd; her father, Lionel ‘Lonnie’ Harold Hanson; and her brother, Stephen Jeffrey David Hanson.

Delonne is survived by her loving husband, Robert ‘Tyrone’ Johnson; her children - Shawde, Stephen and his wife Isis, Sherrie and her husband DaKarius (Drey), Tyrone (Shon) and his wife Priscillia, Tiffani, and Tiana; her 10 grandchildren; her mother, Diana Hanson; her brothers - Michael and his wife Christine and Richard and his wife Senta; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
