Donald Eugene Kofroth, Jr. was born on May 20, 1948, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He transitioned to eternity with his Lord on November 29, 2021, in Richardson, Texas.
Affectionately regarded as “Donnie” and “Pop-Pop”, Donald graduated from Warwick High School in 1966. Donald married the love of his life, Karla Deckman, on May 31, 1969. The two remained united in holy matrimony for more than 52 years until his transition.
A man with a remarkable work ethic, Donald was employed by KD Tools in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, for 20 years and later Fenner Drives in Manheim, Pennsylvania, for 21 years.
Among many hobbies, he enjoyed visiting flea markets, buying, and selling items on eBay, and spending time with his grandson, Luke. He will be fondly remembered for his quiet and protective nature. His loving spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Jane and Donald Kofroth, Sr.; and his parents-in-law, Betty and Kenneth Deckman.
Those left to cherish precious memories include his wife and soulmate, Karla Kofroth; children – Melissa Goad (Brian), Donald Kofroth III, and Christopher Deckman; grandson, Luke Goad; sister, Susan Hackman (Thomas); sister-in-law, Rose Kalen (Gary); nieces and nephew – Amy, Christi, and Thomas, Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
