Donald “Frosty” Porter Frost, Jr. passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. He was born to Donald Porter Frost, Sr., and Leona Lillian (Fisher) Frost on December 20, 1947. He had one sister, Leona Callahan. He was previously married to Connie (Beaver) Frost. He married Linda (Edgecomb) Frost on June 21, 2008.
Frosty loved to dance. He would take any opportunity to share his skills with his friends, and he enjoyed going dancing with his wife and church friends. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Linda, and his favorite destinations to visit were Arkansas and Texas. Frosty never met a stranger and was loved and cherished by his friends and family. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, making them laugh with his silly stories and corny jokes.
Frosty enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He served on the USS Diachenko, achieving the rank of Seaman First Class. He worked as a machinist for DAC Vision and retired in 2012.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Leona; and his wife, Connie. He is survived by his wife Linda; two daughters, Lisa (Jeremy) Durham and Tonia Duncan; two stepdaughters, Andrea (Jose) Vasquez and Lisa (Jose) Cortes; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
An interment with full military honors will be held at a later date at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
