Affectionately regarded as “Dora Mae” and “Mutt”, Dora graduated from Carroll High School in Monroe, Louisiana, in 1958. She worked in cash management in the gas industry and domestic family care in her early years and later enjoyed a career at the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections until her retirement in 1994.
