Douglas James Kinder was born on June 27, 1958, to Cletis and Edna Kinder in St. Louis, Illinois. He transitioned on August 11, 2022, in Dallas, Texas.
Affectionally regarded as "Doug", Douglas attended St. Clair County Schools. He served in the United States Army until he was discharged in 1977.
Among many hobbies, Douglas enjoyed watching Star Trek, Wheel of Fortune, and the New Orleans Saints. He also delighted in playing poker and listening to classic rock music. He will be fondly remembered for his enthusiastic, friendly, funny, adventurous, and grateful nature. His kind spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, Cletis and Edna Kinder; brothers, John Kinder and Mark Kinder; and nephew, Christopher Kinder.
Those left to cherish precious memories include his daughter, Jazmyn Kinder Cardenas (Julian); granddaughters - Ava Cardenas, Aria Cardenas, and Ericka Cardenas; brothers, Paul Kinder and Darrell Kinder (Kerstein); nieces, Rechelle Huck and Kristi Reich; nephews - Caleb Kinder, Paul Kinder, Jr., Cory Kinder, and Travis Kinder; and a host of other relatives and friends.
