Dreama Ann (Burns) Miles

Dreama Ann (Burns) Miles was born on August 2, 1948, to Dennie and Maxine Burns, in Van, West Virginia. Surrounded by her loved ones, she gained her wings and went home to Heaven with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on September 4, 2022, in Dallas, Texas.

Dreama graduated from Scott High School in 1966. In her early years, she enjoyed a career in the food and retail industries. In her later years, she went on to enjoy a career in the security industry and then as a homemaker until her retirement in 2015.  

Dreama married the love of her life, Charles Richard Miles, on November 2, 1968. To this union, four children were loved and nurtured. The two remained united in holy matrimony until her transition. She loved her family with all of her heart and enjoyed spending time with everyone.

A woman after God's heart, Dreama's faith was unwavering. She looked forward to celebrating our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ during summer trips to the Gospel Quartet Convention in Memphis, Tennessee. She looked forward to daily Bible studies and weekly dates doing her favorite activities. Dreama cherished her siblings and long-time friends. An encourager to everyone she met, Dreama was always delighted to lend a helping hand and provide guidance and comfort to all in need. 

Dreama also delighted in gardening, attending gospel concerts, reading, watching movies, and most importantly spending time with her family. She will be fondly remembered for her caring, giving, thoughtful, and passionate nature. Her loving spirit will be missed by all who were privileged to cross her path.  

Dreama was preceded in death by her parents, Dennie and Maxine Burns; siblings, Dennie Lee Burns and Donna Calvert; great-grandchild, LeGarde; and parents-in-law, Charles and Goldie Miles.

Those left to cherish lasting memories include her husband of 53 years, Charles Richard Miles; children - Eric Burns, Melodee Hernandez (Pablo), Chariese Thompson (Eric), and Natalee Hubbard (James); siblings - Sam Burns (Audrey), Pam Halstead (Eddie), and Ernie Burns (Elaine); grandchildren - Ashlee, Salena, Courtnie, Marquel, Erianna, Pablo, Daysha, Jamison, and Ellia; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Chrystian, KiAndra, Arabella, Arrianna, CeNiyah, Dayshawn, Gracelyn Rose, Henry Kalil, Mason; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
