Drucella McKinney Obituary

With loving hearts, we celebrate the life of Drucella McKinney, who departed this life and entered her eternal rest on the morning of April 29, 2026.

Drucella was known for her beautiful smile, warm spirit, and the joy she brought to those around her. She loved to dance and never missed an opportunity to enjoy music, laughter, and good company. She also had a passion for travel and cherished the experiences and memories made along the way.

Drucella was born on December 11, 1943, to Charlie Patton and Minnie "Cumi" Davis in Harelton, TX.

Drucella accepted Christ at an early age and attended St. John Baptist Church in Longview, TX, where her faith journey began. In 1992, she received the right hand of fellowship from Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Arlington, TX, and remained grounded in her faith throughout her life.

She attended Mary C. Womack High School in Longview and then entered the Job Corps for two years in Charleston, WV, where she continued to grow, learn, and build lasting friendships. In the late 90s, Drucella began working for UPS, and after over 20 years of dedicated service, she retired. Above all, Drucella valued family, friendship, and living life with love and grace.

Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, her kindness, faith, and joyful spirit will never be forgotten.

Drucella was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Patton and Minnie "Cumi" Davis; and her siblings, Charles L. Patton, Claretta Devine, Katherine Williams, Lonnie Patton, Larry Patton, and David Patton.

Those left to cherish lasting memories include her children, Angela Robinson (Lawrence), Keith Horton, Eric McKinney (La Tanya), and Rodney McKinney (Lina); her sisters, Brenda Patton, Linda Patton, Barbara Rodgers, Pamela Robinson, and Vickie Howard (Darrion); her grandchildren, Ashlie, Brycelon, Camaryn, Lawren, Michael, Katlyn, Megan, Elena, Alicia, Alexis, Keimana, and Julian; her great- grandchildren, Logan, Roman, and Jace; and a host of extended family and friends.
