Dwayne Wesley Vaughan was born in Greenville, Texas on October 15, 1964. He passed away on August 23, 2022, in Richardson, Texas. Dwayne was raised in Greenville and graduated in 1983 from Greenville High School. He attended East Texas State University in Commerce then transferred to and graduated from the University of North Texas.
Dwayne was an unintentional comedian who enjoyed laughing with you and at you. He had a passion for hunting, fishing, and watching the Cowboys play on Sunday. His Crocs and Harry Potter glasses were part of his signature style. His presence was a magnetic force that drew you in like a moth to a flame. His greatest blessings called him PawPaw, and he loved them with all of his heart.
Dwayne was preceded in death by his son, Zachery Dwayne Vaughan; and his parents, Albert and Loretta Vaughan.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Holly Vaughan; daughter, Jordan Vaughan (Nick Welch); five grandchildren - Owen Welch, Olivia Vaughan, Boston Welch, Hendrix Vaughan, and Scotlynn Welch; brother, David Vaughan; mother-in-law, Charlene Tucker; and several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and cousins.
