Eleanor Inez (Glenn) Punch

Eleanor Inez Punch was born on January 20, 1929, to Phillip and Fannie Glenn in Dallas, Texas. She transitioned to eternity with her Lord and Savior on August 16, 2020. 

Eleanor graduated high school and went on to enjoy a dual-career. A woman of high work ethic, she worked as a childcare worker in the Preston Hollow area and as a custodian in Dallas. 

Affectionately regarded as "Granny" and "Grandma" by her grandchildren, Eleanor was a longtime member of New Mount Zion Baptist Church. There, she was a faithful participant in Sunday School and the Senior Saints Ministry. Among many hobbies, Eleanor enjoyed Christian television, particularly the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). She also delighted in listening to spiritual music and sermonic recordings. 

Eleanor had a joyful, calming, and comforting presence. She will be fondly remembered for her sweet, kind, selfless, generous, and loving nature and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; several siblings; husband, Nathaniel Punch; and daughter, Phyllis Walton. Those left to cherish precious memories include her son, Larry Walton (Betty); son, Kirk Walton; son, Daryl Walton; daughter, Cheryl Coleman; son, Phillip Walton (Jacqueline); step-mother, Glen Elise Glenn, whom she regarded as "Mama Glen"; grandchildren: Rico Walton, Clifton Walton, Marcus Walton, Ladita McBride (Turk), Larrie Coleman, Jonathan Brandon, Tia Walton, Germaine Walton, and Karmen Walton; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings: Phyllis Stevenson, Carolyn Campbell, and Sandra Griffin (Charlie); and a host of other relatives and friends.
