Eugene "PeeWee" Jones Obituary

Eugene Jones was born on January 19, 1944, to Harold Leon Jones and Luella Fletcher, in Farmersville, Texas. He transitioned to eternity with his Lord on June 21, 2020, in Garland, Texas.

Eugene attended Doty High School in McKinney, Texas. Upon graduating high school, he joined the United States Army. Later, he began a career with Johnson Controls where he worked for 22 years before retiring.

In April of 1988, Eugene became a member of St. Mark Baptist Church where he served as an usher. Among many hobbies, he delighted in fishing, dancing, and bowling. 

Affectionately regarded as "Pee Wee", Eugene will be fondly remembered as a caring, kind, hardworking, and loving person with a beautiful smile.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Willis Harold Jones and Ray Dale Jones; one grandson, Rodney Eugene Jones, Jr.; and children-in-law, Thomas Wright and Sharon Jones. Those left to cherish precious memories include his wife of 56 years, Patsy Jones; son, Rodney Eugene Jones, Sr.; daughters: Cammie Evans, Anita Wright, and Tonya Murphy; grandchildren: Anishea Jones, Rickey Jones, Michael Jones, Barrett Jones, Montario Jones, Roddrikra Jones, Chandrika Berry, Amber Johnson, Aaron Johnson, Stanley Wiley, and Sheena Wright; great-grandchildren: Dakeryn, Jakayla, Keoni, Quan, Shaniyah, Keiron, Miracle, Ariyah, Jordan, Ja'Quan, Nasya, and Amaya; great-great-grandchild, Kinsley; siblings: Anthony (Betty) Jones, Mildred Faye (Travis) Jones, Betty Luke, Linda Kaye (Roy) Revely, and Darla Lynn (Tony) Craddock; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
