Gail Denise (Gibson) Dixon

Gail Denise (Gibson) Dixon was born on September 8, 1965, in Chicago, Illinois. She transitioned to eternity on June 18, 2026, in Allen, Texas. 

Gail graduated from Morgan Park High School, Class of 1983. She went on to attend Antonelli College, where she earned her certification in Medical Billing and Coding, and she enjoyed a long career. 

Affectionately known as "Ge-Ge", Gail married Edward Dixon in 2001. The two remained united in holy matrimony until his passing. 

Gail accepted Christ as her Lord and remained steadfast in her faith. She was a devoted member of New Horizon Church in Jackson, Mississippi, where she served in the Children's Ministry. She later attended One Community Church. She was most grateful for the opportunity to mentor and encourage children through church ministry. She delighted in sharing her time and faith with young people and families in her church community. 

Among many hobbies, Gail enjoyed entertaining family and friends at her home, traveling with them, spending time with loved ones, and serving others through her church. Gail had a very special relationship with her mother. The two especially enjoyed shopping excursions on their days off. She was immensely grateful for her mother's relentless love as her caregiver as a child and later as her health declined.  

Gail will be fondly remembered for her nurturing, welcoming, devoted, selfless, and resilient nature. She built a loving family and a lasting legacy of faith and service. Her loving spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Dixon; father, Sam Gibson; and sister, Linda Gibson. Those left to cherish precious memories include her beloved mother, Carrie McDonald; her bonus father, Ronald McDonald; her daughter, Shamika Gibson; her son, Anthony Watson; her grandson, Jayden Collins; her granddaughter, Roszline Miranda; her granddaughter, Galiegha Lee; many loving cousins, with special mention of Jerry McDonald,  Brian McDonald, Alvin Evans, and Kevin McDonald; her dear friends, Mary McDonald, Antonette FeFee, and Tisha Rodgers; and a host of others who held a special place in her heart, including her godchildren, extended family members, church family, and friends.
