Guy Chamberlain Obituary

Guy Alan Chamberlain was born at Burderop Park USAF Hospital in Chiseldon, England, on August 15, 1957. He transitioned to eternity on November 1, 2020, in Dallas, Texas.

A graduate of South Garland High School in Garland, Texas, Guy was proud to be an honorably discharged United States Army veteran. He enjoyed a career in sales and worked as a purchasing manager. In the latter part of his career, he worked at Courtesy Patrol for the Dallas Sheriff's Department. After many years of demonstrating a superior work ethic, Guy retired in 2016.

On July 11, 1979, Guy married the love of his life, Martina Wallbrecher. To their union, a beautiful daughter was born, and they named her Vionna Marie. The two remained united in holy matrimony until his transition.

Among many hobbies, Guy loved music, fishing, dove hunting with his dad and brother, and motorcycle riding. He also delighted in cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and was a huge Nascar and avid gaming fan. He made many friends while playing World of Warships. His gaming friends dedicated a clan battle room in his honor. With family at the center of his heart, Guy truly loved spending quality time with family and friends at the lake. He loved riding the waters on his boat.

Affectionately regarded as "Guydeoalan" by his dad and "Bro" by his siblings, Guy will be fondly remembered for his fun-loving, jokeful, and goofy nature. He loved to dance and would laugh until his face turned red. He could be a tad bit hardheaded but always compassionate with a big heart for all who crossed his path. A man with a charm that would light up a room, Guy will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Guy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ethel Mae Honeycutt, Thurman Bell, Grace Lucille Chamberlain Pyle, and George Shelby Chamberlain; mother, JoAnn Chamberlain; and stepmother, Marjorie Chamberlain. Those left to cherish sweet memories include his wife of 41 years, Martina Chamberlain; daughter, Vionna Marie Chamberlain; father, Frank Eugene Chamberlain; siblings: Steve Chamberlain (Pam), Gail Blair (Jack), Karen Guthrie (Drew), and Melody Chatham (Mike); mother-in-law, Brigitta Lawrence; foster daughter, Shadawn F. Sell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and his beloved fur babies, Batman and Bella.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Crossroads Church in Rowlett, Texas. Lead Pastor Jason Collins will officiate.
