Harold "Harry" Palmer Obituary

Harold Edward Palmer was born on October 24, 1945, in Savannah, Georgia. He transitioned to eternity on May 27, 2021, in Lewisville, Texas.

Affectionately regarded as “Harry”, Harold graduated from Lompoc High School in Lompoc, California in 1964. He was a cross country runner and ran track in high school and college. He attended College of San Mateo in San Mateo, California. He also went on to attend California State University in Hayward, California.

Harry married Wendy Marie Wilkerson on March 24, 1967. The two remained united in holy matrimony for 54 years until his transition.

Among many hobbies, Harry enjoyed running, car trips, and spending time with family and friends. He loved being outdoors and also delighted in collecting stamps, Yahtzee, country westerns, and listening to music (especially the oldies.)

Harry will be fondly remembered for his witty, affectionate, smart, loyal, and fun-loving nature. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Phyllis Palmer. Those left to cherish precious memories include his wife, Wendy Palmer; son and daughter-in-law, Marc and Liz Palmer; daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Nick Dunkley; three grandchildren - Nathan Dunkley, Adelyn Dunkley, and Dylan Dunkley; sister, Carol Kemm; and a host of other relatives and friends.
