Harry Jones, Jr.

Harry Jones, Jr. was born on July 21, 1963, in Denton, Texas. He was the firstborn of three sons to Harry Jones, Sr. and Alberta Tolbert Jones. He transitioned to his eternal life on January 1, 2023, at home in Plano, Texas.

Harry received his formal education in the Lewisville School District. He was a very hard worker, a family man, and a good friend to many. Harry loved fishing and cooking, especially grilling. He took great pride in his grilling expertise. A huge Marvel comics fan, he also delighted in vacations spent on the beach and watching movies.

Harry married the love of his life, Shirley Mitchell, in 1988. To this union, one child, Jessica Mone’t Jones, was born.

Harry was employed by Hilite Industries for over 20 years before being employed at ESAB Corporation as a machinist until his passing.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Jones, Sr. and Alberta Brown; and stepfather, Herbert Brown. Those left behind to cherish precious memories include his devoted wife, Shirley; son, Jason; bonus son, David Johnson; bonus daughter and grand-daughter, Lesli Lott and Nevaeh; two brothers, Dariel (Teresa) and Eric (Lisa) of Denton, Texas; two aunts, Linda Pratt and Beverly Chambers of Lewisville, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever love and miss him dearly.
