Jacquelyn Lenise Lee was born on January 22, 1971, in Chicago, Illinois. She transitioned to eternity with her Lord on January 2, 2022, in Dallas, Texas.
Affectionately regarded as “Momma Bear”, “Sweet Cake”, and “Nanni”, Jacquelyn received her education from Cook County Schools in Chicago, Illinois.
Jacquelyn married the love of her life, Castella Lee, on August 26, 1994. The two remained united in matrimony until her transition.
Among many hobbies, Jacquelyn enjoyed cooking, watching cooking shows, feeding the homeless, and most of all, spending time with her family. She will be fondly remembered for her caring, generous, supportive, and adoring nature. Her loving spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Jacquelyn was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. Owens and Leanster Perkins; sisters - Barbara Jean Perkins, Rose Lee Perkins, Christine Perkins, and Jeanette Perkins; and brother, Kelly Perkins, Jr. Those left to cherish precious memories include her loving husband of 27 years, Castella Lee; children – Dante Perkins, Julian Giles, Rayshon Giles, Castel Lee, and Castella Lee; 12 grandchildren; sisters - Lula Mae Strictland, Geneva Sanders, Lovie Ann Perkins, Angela Perkins Silas, and Ruby Lee Metoyer; brothers - Willie Perkins, Carson Perkins, Nathaniel Perkins, Anthony Perkins, and Skey Perkins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
