James Preston Alexander II was born on February 28, 1978. He transitioned on May 15, 2020.
James graduated from Lake Highlands High School in 1996. He later attended Texas Southern University. At an early age, he accepted Christ and united with New Mount Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. R.E. Price.
Affectionately regarded as "Jimi", James loved sports and rap music. He also had an eye for designer clothes and was admired for his fashion style. Extremely outgoing, very intelligent, and compassionate are just a few words to describe such an amazing father and son.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
James was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Deacon Clarence and Julia Grant Alexander; and his maternal grandparents, Manuel and Peggy McNeary. Those left to cherish memories include his daughters, Jalyn Alexander and Jade Alexander; son, Greyson Alexander; parents, James Preston, Sr. and Ingrid Alexander; sister, Jameica Alexander; several aunts and uncles; and a host of other relatives and friends.
