James Nunn, Jr.

James Nunn, Jr. was born in Kenedy, Texas, on June 21, 1946. He transitioned to eternity on November 21, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. 

James enlisted in the United States Army in 1965 and served until he was honorably discharged. He went on to enjoy a career in telecommunications, working for Southwestern Bell / AT&T until he retired in 2000. 

On June 18, 1989, James married the love of his life, Zelma Heckard. The two remained united in matrimony until his transition.  

Among many hobbies and interests, James most enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He truly loved to help people and will be fondly remembered for his intelligent, driven, and friendly nature. His kind spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.  

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. Those left to cherish lasting memories include his wife, Zelma Nunn; his brother, Tommy; his children and grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
