Jay Edward Strange

Jay Edward Strange was born on December 14, 1944, to Joe Bailey Strange and Louise (Blankenship) Strange in Timpson, Texas. He transitioned to eternity with his Lord on May 29, 2023, in Richardson, Texas. 

Jay attended Boone Avenue High School in Rockwall, Texas. Very handy with his hands, he enjoyed a career in various areas of construction. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Louise Strange; sister, Elvina Grantling; daughter, Jessica Faye Woodberry; and grandson, Jay Edward Woodberry III. His sister, Katherene Cofield, passed only two days after Jay. 

Those left to cherish lasting memories include his wife, Mary Strange; children - Jay Edward Woodberry, Janyne Renee Davis (Brian), and Cashonda Wilkinson; grandchildren - Philip Dwayne Crow, Philisha Laray Wilson, Christina CaNise Pettie, Tiera Janiese Briggs, Calvin Christopher Pettie, Jr., Camen Woodberry, Carmen Woodberry, Camryn Woodberry, Mason Davis, and Trinity Sky Davis; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
